Just like you???
Oh wait, she exclaims..I need a cotton ball! so up to mama's bathroom she went. What you may not be able to see is that she has taped the hat on, the strips go down to her brows! so funny and so creative for a 5 year old.
peppermint shaped buttons and all! love it! And below is her lioness mask with paws. fits her perfectly, just amazed with her and when telling her how impressed I was, her reply "Teta, am I as good as you?" Now REALLY!!!! I told her that she was better than me, (which she quickly disagreed), Now, my Beans, Teta doesn't lie to you,, when I was five, I didn't have the imagination like you, when you get to be my age you will be a better artist then your Teta. The smile she gave me was priceless!
This past Thanksgiving weekend was spent thanking the Lord for all my Pumpkins, my husband, my parents, my family. Our time together is the greatest joy in the world! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I just wanted to note, I didn't know I had comments from people! Thank you to those who do leave comments, Thank you for your kind words and if I should inspire you in any way, that brings more JOY than you know!

Not so tiny anymore!
touches my face and quietly tries to sing along. She is so sweet. This sweet girl has a older sister, who carries my heart too! She is my Beans, and she is so crafty. I will be adding her photo with some projects soon.
Just so so can see the sweetness in my Scobby's face, here is an updated photo of her taken while we were coloring this past weekend. She has just turned 2.
I am still working on a 'hanger' using Kaisercraft paper line, and am crocheting a new scarf for my Beans. She got to pick out the yarn herself--fun fur of course! Happy Friday!

Smell a lot like Christmas
OK, so what you may not know of me yet is my LOVE of elves, gnomes and magical places. I found this little friend at Hobby Lobby, I went there to get some orange sequence for my November layout class at Cool, and vowed NOT to go into the Christmas section...Among the puffy felt decorated treed and large vintage bottle brush trees with mercury bulbs, I found this lone little elf. Unlike the other items I was madly drooling over, that were out of my budget, (it is hard to have a budget with no job!) I found Octavius for only $8.99. He is tall enough, so not to look to lost and best part is he is in my Christmas colors! I am trying out names for our next cat. Octavius or GusGusfor short, from Cinderella. I put him on my night stand, wrapped around my marble lamp that was my Nani's also. LOVE IT!!!
I am going to be doing a Boutique December 4th & 5th. It is being held at California Styles in Canyon Lake. I will have an assortment of all my wares and this includes my Biscotti. It is the first batch I made since July. My parents have moved but their new kitchen still has a wonderful oven for me to bake in. When I showed up to bake yesterday, my mom gave me this happy looking apron that was my Nani's. It is a little snug but fits comfortably enough to work in. I had a wonderful day baking in the kitchen with my mom, another great memory for me! Happy Tuesday! xo

Stuff
Well I was trying to add a photo of my recent canning items. I went and visited my "TETA MOYA". If I remember correctly, moya means love. well there about. My Nani always told me that some of the words or sayings from their country don't cross over here. ????? But it a round about way, we always called my great aunt, Teta Moya. or Teta my love...if I am incorrect I will get back to that..but I went to visit her and we canned some applesauce....sooo good!
My brain is not working so good as I am having a sinus deal with my ears...all it takes is a little chilly wind. It has been a few days and now my husband is sick with more of a sinus, sore throat and aching deal. There are quite a few peeps I know that are actually. But we got stuff to do, So, I am also planning to bake my biscotti in the next few days also. And am working on a cute hanger project with Kaisercraft products from Gena's store. COOL Scrapbook Stuff. I did finish the Halloween layout, which is next week..if I can just figure out where the pictures I uploaded are! I have STUFF to show you...well I hope some of you have signed up for my Christmas house project, which is this Sunday. I have a spot already picked out of where it will go when I bring it home..only 2 weeks til I decorate for Christmas-YAY!!! Have a wonderful day!

It's finished...
I just love the way it turned out! I will be interested to see if anyone signs up for this class? and if no one does, I love it still! I sprayed the trees with glimmermist, it gives them a little more of a vintage feel. There are lots and lots of layers to this project. I am teaching it on Sunday, Nov 10. It is gonna be an all day class.
I wanted to show a close up of the floor. I stamped a brick pattern like the chimney. I have the door propped open so you can see the inside looking in. It does stay like that..inviting, wouldn't you say. heehee.
Taking a little look inside. It was definitely a challenge, and I hope others feel the magical feeling of Christmas.
This is the start of my Nov layout class. Gena suggested that I do a Halloween theme, so I did. It already has more detail from when I took these photos yesterday but you will have to wait until its finished. This is my Beans as a witch from last year and the other side is Scooby as a cow. So much fun, and I hope to finish this up and deliver it to the store by thurs...yes it is only Sunday, but am spring cleaning also this week. I wiped all the cabinets down in the kitchen and washed the floor and filled up the green trash with pine needles and shrub and did 3 loads of laundry today.
Monday I am off to my Teta's (great aunt in slave) to make homemade apple sauce. She is gonna be 93 Dec. 10. I am trying to learn as much as I can while she is still wanting to teach. My Teta, I love her so! Happy Sunday.

Christmas house class
I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted! I have been playing..really! I am so excited to share what I have been doing..well, tomorrow is my first class at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway. It is a cute (I think) layout with Teresa Collins Memorabilia line. I have been inspired by my 'Pumpkins' for most of my layouts and "hangers."
I did just return from visiting my sister up north. This sister has 2 of my 4 pumpkins. I call them Beans and Scooby. Scooby's nickname is soon to be changed to Sunshine. She is just so sweet. That is a story for another post!
I am teaching this little house project in Nov. at Cool. I just think they are magical! I am showing you pictures of the before. I did have some close-ups of the trees, as yesterday I sprayed them with Glimmermist and sprinkled them with glitter. They transformed. My camera is a big terd, so they didn't turn out so good close up, but here I just grouped them with the house. I still have a lot of work to do today on them. I hope to be posting by tomorrow a Halloween layout, also a project I will be teaching in Nov. Off to play.....after some coffee!

My Halloween Goodies
I have been a busy girl! I love doing little houses..and here they are inside and out. I always cut a little hole in the back corner because I like to add a string of lights to my "village". I don't think 3-4 houses and some other little decorated items is really a village but it's what I call it and when I decorate, I will post a photo!
The photos loaded out of order, so scroll down and look at the big house and a photo of both houses together so you can see the difference in size. I love them. Lots of fun for me...now I just need a venue to sell them, as my etsy shop and my FB page are slow going to set up!
I also love to do "hangers" as I call them. They are 4x6 and 5x8 in sizes approximately. But again, fun projects for me. I will be having projects like these offered at COOL SCRAPBOOK STUFF in Poway as classes. The same idea but different of course by season and my findings. Most of the ones I would love to do but can't do as classes because I stumble over some of the goodies and only buy one..it makes them one of a kind. Plus always buying with the thought "oh this might be a class" it not cost effective for someone who does not have a job.
My camera is poo! I really need a better one, my projects are definitely better in person. You can not see the details.
So this is about as good of a close up as I could get. You get the idea though. Halloween is such a great time of the year, the air is getting crisp now and that means in just a few days I get to decorate. I love the changing of the seasons,( I didn't say it was a big change!) but this it is for decorating seasons. Christmas is my fave but Halloween and Easter are right up there! I have houses and hangers for all three...but there is always room for more. Happy Creating.

Home Sweet Home
Ta-Da! So happy with how this turned out! I love these found treasures. I am a collector of art supplies. I was up, northern California, visiting my sister and whenever I go to visit we MUST go into Berkeley. On fourth street there are wonderful stores, Castle in the Air, Scrapbook Territory, and a wonderful Toy store too! The toy store carries all of the OLD toys, wooden and vintage, it's great. Castle in the Air carries fantastic goodies. The german foil stuff, thick and fibrant crape paper, stringed puppets, mosses and mushrooms, just lovely! The Home Sweet Home is one of the My Minds Eye cards to embellish projects with that I found at Scrapbook Territory 2 years ago and have finally "tacked" it down. It hangs in my entry. The colors just make me so happy, every time I see it, it makes me smile and isn't it what it's all about! Happy Sunday!

Summer's almost over....
After having the house closed up and the air running last few weeks, it was really nice to be able to have the house open all day! The warm breeze coming through, I can smell the herbs from our garden, 80;s music playing in the back ground, it truly is a wonderful day to be working up in the studio! I am working on some layouts for my classes coming up at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway. Working with, Teresa Collins Memorbilia line and Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells line. Love them both. I have not been scraping layouts, I don't know why. I get sidetracked with "other" projects, (my studio is lined with projects in progress!) so I am very excited to get back to them. I have PLENTY of inspiration from my pumpkins. My pumpkins are my nieces and nephew. I don't call them by their birth names and they don't seem to mind..yet. They call me Teta, which is aunt in "slave". Again, you will see them soon enough in my projects.
Speaking of projects, this one was inspired when I was reading a bedtime story to my Beans. It was a take on Twinkle, Twinkle if I can remember correctly. When I read this line for the first time, I got a little meepy. I have a great love for the ocean, it is magical, just like the night sky at 2:00 a.m. I get up often at 2 and go see what waits for me out my window...its like a breath of fresh air. So, mind you I have had this sand dollar for about 15 years. I had to buy the starfish and it took me 3 years to find the perfect piece of driftwood. I bring this piece out as a centerpiece to decorate my coffee table for summer. And if my Halloween decorations weren't so cute it would stay out until Christmas!

Nani and Teta
W

It only took me 18 years....
Now, the wrought iron is what I have been looking for..Lisa is a very happy girl! Kinda of a funny story. Well, my Nani was a big fan of wrought iron and since her passing I have acquired alot of her pieces which I love, but a 3 tiered shelf is a piece I have been keeping my eyeballs searching, it was hard to find, and find at the right price. I do have an obession with yarn and this shelf will be perfect for houseing it! I have this idea it will control the amount of yarn I buy. If it doen't fit, I can't buy anymore!
I haven't worked out of the house since caring for my Nani, so I create goodies, which I label "LisaLisaTreats", (story for another time) and attend boutique's or markets to sell my stuff. I had found an antique store in downtown Murrieta that has markets and it seems the perfect venue for my stuff. Madam Bleu, cute store, and when I went in to talk about the market details LOOK WHAT I FOUND!
and of course, because it is going up in the studio I sanded it and painted it my color. LOVE IT! and here it is upstairs with my mess of yarn. I need to ball up all the scans to make them pretty but that will be soon. I am in the process of cleaning, rearranging my studio, so don't peek at the mess!

I've been found...
What a wonderful Sunday! I have not checked in for some time but once again I hope to change that. I believe that part of what made today such a wonderful day is that I have booked dates to start teaching at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway, CA. Teaching creative projects, does it really get better than this? I am also pleased to say that what has kept me away, besides my garden, my progress for healing, between the severe fibromyalgia to ALL the family and pet members we have lost in the last 3 years is so overwhelming that some days are difficult to survive, but I have arrived to the step in healing to reach out again, and hopefully for good this time. Gena having welcomed me to her newly relocated, beautiful store is so just what I needed and I am so very excited to be apart of the scrap world again...it truly makes my heart sing. I look forward to keeping up with posts and showing you what I have been doing since my last post! I did do the may crop but have not seen the girls since..LIFE you know!
