I am just loving these chalkboard paper stack cards!  I have my last class for the year with these wonderful ladies from Fallbrook! I am making some English toffee to share with them today. They love it as much as I do! I have so many projects I have been doing but of course had problems with my iPad..however,I am making a promise to myself to try and be better about posting on my blog...I really do enjoy documenting the little things in my life, wether anyone reads them or not!  But for today I wanted to share the cards I will be teaching in this next weeks class...and look forward to seeing what I come up with for our january class! Happy thanksgiving to you!

Making seeded paper

Yes, making paper.....my Aunt Mary, who is a healer, by nature and profession...makes many wonderful products. Of these many items, she has formulated a facial oil, that I use every night with my face cream, and sometimes in with my morning cream...however right now, because I want it to last and I feel that I only need it once a day, I use it in the evening. It is so silky, and smooth, which brings me to my next product...glycerin soap...smells fantastic, silky smooth and leaves nothing behind, like most glycerin soaps I have tried.  I also, use a body oil...after I shower.....in the summertime I have a very hard time using lotion in the summer months, hence, oils.  I love her products! She is so talented....and has enough in demand that she is starting her passion into a business. Mary has asked me to make tags, tags that can be planted and grow wild flowers....so today I have made a 12x12 emerald/forest green seeded paper. In a few days I will then draw some leaves and cut them out. We will plant a few, and see what happens! Thanks for checking out my blog. XO

Here's one?..Oct card class

Hello and happy October! We are here already, and I love it! Here is a card for the upcoming class at the Fallbrook Women's center. One of five, I still can't figure how to post the photos that are here on my IPad....so this one made it, and it's one of my favorites..still love the mini roses and the paper feathers. It's finally cooled down in the evenings, I have just washed my afghans in celebration!  This month I have just two fall cards and 3 Christmas cards. Next month all five will be Christmas, and no class December. January's class will be valentines and back to everyday celebrations, for which we are grateful! I will post the other cards once I can..until then, hope the Halloween vibe finds you!

Garden to table!

One of my favorite things to do is going out into the garden everyday to see what can be picked!

We are not getting a lot this year for some reason, the weather is very hot, it could be our new soil, the fertilizer we choose to use, bugs??? I bought some Roma tomatoes when they were on sale this last week and canned my "base". Nani  and Teta did this every year, a mix of goodies from the garden, simmering it up, can it. We use it for the base for spaghetti sauce, however, I love to use it when I bake chicken, or  with pasta using olive oil, or a white sauce...great part is, it's ready to go at any time! I will be making and canning a haberno sauce possible today..gotta use them while they are fresh!

September card class

September is here already! I love our changing of the seasons....if you live here in Southern California, they are not big changes but enough!  I guess the only reason right now we know it's September, is because the Halloween candy is in the stores, in full display!  How many Halloween cards does one send out? Or thanksgiving cards?  This month I decided to just use the colors of the season for a few of the cards and some i am bringing other salutations, should someone like to change them to "everyday"  cards. Here are the samples for my Fallbrook Women's group, which is Tues, Sept 23rd at 10:30 a.m.. It seems even if you are not apart of the group, you can still take the class!

If you might like to join a wonderful group of women's, and make these 5 cards, please leave a comment, I will get back to you! Also, my sister is setting up her EBAY shop, which she will have some of my crafting..very exciting! Then she will be helping me step up my ETSY shop! Very exciting stuff..long time in the making, when you don't work well on the computer!

I hope your enjoying the beginning of our fall season, as I am, crafting , gardening, baking ( my first chicken pot pie from scratch is in the oven right now!) and as always, enjoying time with family! Until my next post, keep enjoying life, we only get one!

Sewing has been all consuming!!!

I have been staring at my sewing machine, which was given to me by my cousin 5 years ago. I have been wanting to learn to sew for many yearsBut because of cost, time, etc. I have put it off. I must add in that as I Am typing this the truest reason I feel is that I don't have room for another craft! But many of the crafts I do or want to expand on involve sewing.....my mother law was kind enough to pay for a class at The. Quilters. Cottage in Fallbrook, 6 classes for. $35.00! What a deal, when I am finished I will have a quilt the size of a baby blanket.....so here are my choice fabrics and my first saw tooth star. You can see in this photo below, 9 patch and my log cabin too. It has been quite the experience, I loved almost every minute of it.

But I must say, glad class is over! Still haven't completed it yet...I have final combining of squares to attach together, mostly left. I plan to work on it this week. I will post a photo when finished! I have also been reoccupied with the garden, it's not doing well this year, but it's still taking the same amount of time! I just planted some seeds to start on the winters harvest. Boutique season is coming and I am setting up my ETSY shop..lots of exciting stuff! Sorry I have been away, but not to far! Keep living!

Halloweens cards in July!!!

Loving these cards! However, I was so "into" creating these cards I kept feeling like I had to hurry and put out the Halloween decor!  I have this class on tues, July 22 in Fallbrook. Looking forward to seeing the Women's group, they are so friendly, and always have something to teach me!

My newest JOY

This 12x12 canvas has been swirling around in my head for a while!  I finally decided to do it!  And I do love it!   There are moments when I first glance at it and think maybe I should make a change with monochromatic flowers...for the next one!!!  In person, it looks so much better, I must say.....I am still in love with Basic Grey's discontinued line, Lollipop shop. If you didn't see it..for me it was dreamy, bursting with jolly colors, and inspired me so!  Still my favorite combo of colors. Turquoise, red, hot pink and lime green. Just typing the colors makes me giggle.....a little to happy over here! Just wanted to share! Looking forward to my upcoming class with a wonderful group of ladies, the Fallbrook women's group on tues.   How lucky I feel to have this amazing group excited not only to create with me but love that we have become friends.  They just took me in, and seem so pleased with my designs, it truly touches my heart! So, I am reminded how a smile, a hello to someone may touch that persons life. It may be the only kindness they experience all day! Xo

Happy July 4th!

I always look forward to the fireworks !!! It is also usually low key, but it's a day I look forward to because it's another date night with my husband. Like most people, he works so much that I don't get to really spend quality time with him. Having FM, by 7 p.m. I am counting down for bedtime! And sometimes he doesn't get home til later than that! I am improving though! 6 months ago I couldn't do what I am doing now, but that is a story for another time!  This post, though you wouldn't know by the photos, is my first thought about the fourth.  I am in no way a history buff, but I find it so fascinating .  I read John Adams a few years back, a must read, it was very inspiring. It brought a lot of emotion about our countries beginnings. The turmoil, the sacrifice , the hard life they lived, loving our modern day conviences! But to hear first hand what transpired, the waiting of mail, their hand written letters...loved it!  I am proud to an American. An American, for which our country wad founded on, the Constitution, so thought out for our freedom!  Let's hope we get to keep our liberties! I will stop at that. I posted these photos because, well look how lovely these Anaheim chiles look!  Dean picked them this morning, I roasted them and made us cheese and chicken stuffed chickens with a homemade mole sauce and Spanish rice from scratch. So good, I had to share!  Oh and by the way I will be posting the cards for my Fallbrook July class on Friday. Enjoy your fourth!!

July layout class at Cool

My lovelies! I am going to say it again, I love this Kaleidoscope line from Kaisercraft! The papers are so vibrant, and happy. With the large assortment of colors, you can mix it up so many different ways. I am doing a 2 page layout, but with 2 different events, so this is an example of my mixing. Color focus' with lime and pink on one and aqua and red on the other. It makes me want to sing out with glee! This layout class is Tues, July 15th @ 10:00 a.m. Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway. Hope you like my projects as much as I do, hope to see you there!

Makes Me Happy

How happy these dyed flowers make me!  I was visiting my sister, and her daughter, my Beans, had a Mothers Day project for kindergarten, everyone was to bring in flowers. I am not usually a fan of artificial coloring, but WOW!

Using my IPad has been so nice, it has allowed me to really be apart of social media, since this is where everyone is, I had too! I am so enjoying being a part of people's lives, wether they know me or not. I have really enjoyed reading blogs of  people who inspire me. It saddens me that I am not articulate. I am not good with my words. My emotions almost always take over. I feel like when I sit down to hand write a letter ( yes, I do these often!), or an email, I am wishing someone I care about tidings of a sort or thanking them for their kindness.  I get so overwhelmed most of the time by expressing my feelings, I find that more often then not when I am done I have tears and a note written by a preschooler....horrible.   This is not what I was planning to share, but I was inspired today by a post from Kelly Rae Roberts' blog. I realized that she had a similar  experience, and how she expressed this experience was how I felt, but her words were perfect. Oh, the world of blogging, if you can find these little bits of inspiration, I am sure you all have, it's just new to me! Pure delight! I hope each of you has a blog that you read that can make you feel inspired! My newest photos are of projects I want to share but are not available on my iPad to share yet...frustration!  But will as soon as I can!

June already

I made these two cards for my mom and mother-n-law for Mother's Day this year. Not super fantastic but lovely. I love the quote on the the natural and aqua card.....I try to treasure as much time as I can with my moms, as with my dad. Times is short, this I have learned.  Take one day at a time, always look forward but don't forget where you came from. Be kind, be positive.  I hope your enjoying this beautiful June weather. Keep stoping to smell the roses and happy creating!

Who doesn't love a rainbow?

I took this photo a few weeks ago
Remember the few days of rain we had a few weeks ago, when it was 100 degrees around this rain! Crazy weather but it was early morning, 6 a.m. Or so, I ran out to my car and this is what I saw! It was a lovely sign that it was gonna be a great day...which it was! Just wanted to share !
I am in love with my dehydrator! I have been making fruit leather as often as I can. Without a recipe to follow, and knowing what fruit a friend of mine uses in her recipe, I simply experimented. I blanch 2 green apples, 2 small white peaches, skins and pits/seeds removed. Once cooled I add to my ninja. I add 1 banana, and about 1 cup of strawberries. Once puréed, taste. If it's not sweet enough I add more strawberries. Even when it still didn't seem sweet enough, I made it and it tasted great. I poured into my dehydrator tray, that came with the machine. After a few hours on med, I add another layer of the fruit purée. Fill in areas that have thinned. I do this only once and continue to let it run on med for a good 12 hours, test it first, it may need to go longer. then I try to lift it, to flip it and let it go for another 5-8 hours. Just lift it, touch it, you can tell when it's finished. I did not add anything else, it was great! I also do banana chips, and dried grapefruit slices. So good. Just wanted to share! Happy Tuesday !

Junè classes at Cool

I am in love with this little hanger!! So simple but so incredibly sweet! So much prettier in person too. This one is happening Saturday, June 14th at 10 a.m.

This layout is happening the day before. Friday, June 13th at 10 a.m.   I can't help myself. I have not really been keeping up, printing photos and scrapping life's events! Been doing all kinds of projects, and honestly the FM has improved so much but I can doing do so much creating and keeping up with the rest of life. My point though, I feel like I have neglected my other Pumpkins. When I have been creating layouts for store projects it seems to always be my Bea! The other kids have albums but since she is only 2, I am playing catch up! So this adorable layout is featuring a quite moment with Beas and Teddy, my bear. She loves him, and I love that she always has him with her when we are visiting. She's a girl after my own heart. I used Carta Bella product...it truly makes you sing! Happy Memorial Day weekend to all of you!

Happy Friday!

Good morning! I am looking forward to creating this weekend, starting today! Busy week, but had a fantastic visit with the Fallbrook Women's group a few days ago. I have the hanger class tomorrow at Cool Scrapbook stuff . I wanted to post photos of my June projects that are already on FB and on the stores site, but of course here, on my iPad they aren't ready for posting. I can only post photos from May 7 and before! Still having a very hard time understanding this!!! I wish someone had an answer!  Any way, I am going to start making CHRISTMAS CARDS!!! Lol the Fallbrook women's group are ready! I am going to create another layout or maybe a hanger with this fabulous product from Kaisercraft, Kaleidoscope!!! The colors are so vibrant, so alluring! I just can't help myself. That is what is in store for my July classes....hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

May hanger class at Cool

Ok, so my last post didn't go well! I made the picture so large that unless you click on it you can't see it all! I really enjoy the process of creating, and I am so pleased to be teaching at Cool Scrapbook Stuff and at the Fallbrook Women's group.  I enjoy being able to do different types of small projects, wether it be my cards, hangers or layouts. I am a simple scraper, though most might disagree. However this project that I am doing next Saturday, May 24th, DOES have lots going on! Some projects call for it! Again, as always, I hope you like my project as much as I do!

Finally able to post!

Card class in Fallbrook this Wednesday ! Love these!

My Sunce!

Happy Friday to you all! This is one of the photos of my Sunce's. Sunce means sunshine in slave. Slave is is the language of my Nani and Teta. My mom bought these outfits for them and they and the girls are just so cute! They are my next projects inspiration!  Remember how I was telling you my iPad only uploads so many photos at at time, well this is about 125 photos from where the project I am trying to post a photo of!!! Why it takes so long I don't know, does anyone? So I decided to post my sweethearts. I am almost done with the Fallbrook card class project, not that I will be able to post it soon! This is part of the reason I don't like tech!  Breathe and continue on!

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Hello!

Just wanted to pop in and check to see if the photos I want to share are available to share yet, and of course they aren't!  You can go to Cool Scrapbook Stuff's site and see my end of May project hanger! Love it and I hope you do too! I am working in the studio for my Fallbrook card class. Feeling excited and inspired! Happy Wednesday!

Biscotti

Happy Easter to all!  I love this time of the year, like Christmas, this is when the family looks to me to continue on with Nani's biscotti. I love that my pumpkins love it too!  I always bake it at my mom's because she has all of my Nani's "tools" and I am right at home there. I was thinking of trying to sell it?! Most peeps that try it really like it and say " you should sell it, it's better than anything out there!" How encouraging is that!  A nursery in Fallbrook, you may have heard of it, Myrtle Creek, just end added on a cafe and hosted their first event last week. It never hurts to try, right???
I am on my way up stairs to create a "hanger" for one of my classes at the end of May at Cool Scrapbook Stuff in Poway. My Fallbrook Women's group card class went well. I am so thankful to a friend I met at Cool who brought me into the group. They bring me joy!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, enjoy our springtime, and keep counting your blessings!

Hope you like them as much as I do!  I have a simple style, the paper are so vibrant, they don't need much!  I have started on the next project at Cool, it's a hanger. I am using MME, chalk studio 2.  Happy, happy! Enjoy your weekend!

Wednesday, April 16 th at 10:30. I am going to post cards for my my next class at Cool Scrapbook Stuff, which is Sunday, April 27 th @ 10:30. Here's something else I have been working on!

I am teaching myself new things, or new patterns. I made this hat with out a pattern, and it looks like it! Lol but I gotta keep trying! My niece asked if I could make this? Sure!! Well, I need practice! But it is cute! The diaper cover I did have a pattern for, I just think they are adorable!

I did get a dehyrater ! Yay! It came from Costco. $50.00, so it is not my industrial dehyrater but let's see how it goes! I love dried grapefruit! So of course this was the first round of trying out the new machine.  It took 2 day, approx 2 12 hour days. I don't like to leave it on overnight and it is a little loud. But it turned out great!  Can't wait to see what is next!

So frustrated!

I do not understand why my photos that I have taken with my iPad does not immediately show up for me to post! I take photos daily and the photo of my next class, I have been trying to post since 2 days! What am I missing? The Fallbrook Women's group cards are done and emailed off for them to see but want to share with all of you! I am working on my card class that is happening end of April at Cool Srapbook Stuff. Some of the same papers as the Fallbrook class, but it'd because there are fabulous!  Hope to share with you soon, in the meantime, happy Friday and keep creating!
