Sharing with you....

Here is my Feb 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. class at Cool!  I just love gift boxes.  They great thing is when you open it, there is room for a little something, and when you lift on the ribbon, it has 4 squares with photos or a saying on either side!  So Cute, well I think so.  I wanted to share....
Well, I know you have seen my adorable Valentine Anna Lee mouse.  I painted these pines cones, which fall in my yard, pink with glitter, for Christmas, but thought they worked well for Valentine's decor.  I spray painted and while wet sprinkled with glitter.  I did some gold ones for my sister's centerpiece at Christmas, so much more beautiful in person, but I wanted to share....and last for today is what I worked on this last week.  I have been crocheting most my life.  I was taught by my Nani at age 6 or so, but what I know is simple and I don't read patterns well.  I attempted to create a clouch hat but couldn't figure it out...so I did what I normally do and just make it up.  The flowers and leaves are not complete yet, but again, I wanted to share what I have done so far! Already started another one in a beautiful navy for hat and going to make aqua flowers.  Can't wait to get back to it,  so enjoy your day, happy creating and Happy MLK day!

Still catching up...

Hello! Happy MLK day!  I did some creating over the weekend...I will have to get on the laptop, because the iPad/operator error can't figure out how to use the photos from iPad! Still learning, but it takes me a long while!    I did get started on the spring/summer garden season.  This weather has been ideal, my white skin is pink, and if this keeps up I will have a tan by March!   I got herbs, collards, cabbages, lettuce, garlic, squash, and onions sprouting. Next is mixing the compost to plant tomatoes, peppers and other goodies!   Hope you get outside and enjoy the sunshine today! Pictures to follow!

Love this Jan class!

Well, Okay, the first photo is not of my class but I did get to go to Disneyland, which at the age of 42, is still a very magical place for me. memorable since childhood and now seeing my pumpkins marvel at it today. It has changed over the years, but there is still something truly nostalgic when the trees flicker their little twinkling lights, my Nani is still by my side telling me how much She loves them.....when I get to go, it's a home away from home that I get to rediscover every time I visit.
Okay, sorry about that little rant down memory lane, but the tree at Main St. is WOW!

So Jan, I am using Kaisercraft.  It is mixing 3 of their lines. I love to do that with all papers but Kaisercraft really made me swoon this time with Curiosity, Take Note, and 75 Cents.

I am doing 3 projects in one class because of all the parts used and anyone that knows me, knows that I do not waste beautiful paper!  The quotes used in these lines just hit home for me, as I am sure they do for you too!  I got some new punches, new flowers and the Kaisercraft wooden flourishes are to much!  I always enjoy a 5x7 on one side and an assortment of photo sizes on the other, you can always switch it up!
I just love this photo of us playing in the hallway.  I made the flower that Scooby is wearing in her hair. I had to snap a quick one before she realized it was there!  These are last summer photos but I did tell you I was behind and when I am doing layouts, the photos come from any point in my life.

Here is a close up of the detail.  We will be inking those flowers, so bring your inks and pop dots!  And last but not least,  I am a huge card maker.  I always enjoy simply meaningful cards with quotes, so with some left over paper and new cardstock we have a 5 card assortment.   Hope you enjoy these as much as I do and hope to see you there on Jan. 25th!  Happy Friday!
